With all the training online and off that Network Marketers get bombarded with, sometimes we can forget about the little things that can have a huge impact on your business. Here are six things that I feel will help you succeed in your business:
1. Follow-up: I’ve seen thousands of people over the years lose out on recruiting new team members because they forget to follow-up. It’s critical that you create a systematic approach to follow up with your contacts. Purchase some sort of contact management system if your company doesn’t supply one. Make sure to make it regular practice at the end of your day to look over you database and schedule follow-ups for the day to come.
2. Organized office space: If your office is cluttered and a drag to be in then your business will follow. I’ve noticed that when my office is a mess I don’t even want to set foot in it. Obviously that defeats the entire purpose of working at home. So, the solution is to keep a clean office. Just as with checking in on your database at the end of the day, clean up your office before you wrap things up. Even if that means just straightening some papers – it’s the smallest things that make the biggest difference.
3. Your language: The average Networker doesn’t place enough emphasis on proper language when dealing with people. What you say and how you say it plays a huge role in whether or not a person will be attracted to you. The best advice I ever received was to get a recording device so I could listen to myself as I was on the phone with people. Give this a try and you’ll be amazed at what you learn from it!
4. Recognition: As leaders we can get caught up in the fun of building a successful MLM business. The checks are great, the company trips, conferences, etc. The problem is that sometimes we can forget where that success is coming from. Take regular time to survey your downline report and identify not just your superstars but your up and coming leaders too. You don’t need to go out and buy plaques for everyone. Even a simple phone call will do the trick. I like to send people hand written cards in the mail. Whatever you do, it will go a long way!
5. Understand home business tax law: This is something that is not only important because it can make sure you are keeping within the law but it can also save you a lot of money! If you have traditionally used H & R Block to do your taxes it’s time to seek out a new CPA. If your cousin Vinny has done your taxes for $20 for the last 10 years it’s time for a change. Open up the yellow pages and find a CPA that has experience working with people in home based businesses. As your income grows in your business you’re going to need a CPA that will go to great lengths to help you maximize your deduction and business potential. Quick test: Did you know that you can’t write off your phone line in your home if you also use it for family calls too? Did you know that you might be able to write off a portion of your mortgage if you have office space specifically devoted to your business? As I said, go find someone who knows what they’re doing!
6. Have Fun: Last but not least – have some fun with your business! Every time I run into people in my organization that feel as if they are “struggling” or “frustrated” I ask them to take a giant step back and look at the big picture. There are so many people in our world that struggle more than we do. All we need to do is look at what certain people have to go through on a daily basis and it puts our frustrations in perspective. Network Marketing is about improving the lives of people by empowering them. Be excited about the journey!

When you are in a situation where you need to make sure that several computers are networked together and then to still be able to communicate with the outside world, you will find that of course you turn to a router for help. Routers have become such a commonplace part of office and home office life that they are scarcely worth a second thought, but in truth, you will find that learning about the routers on your network can make a huge difference when it comes to understanding how your own office works.
In the first place, you will find that a router is essentially all about data organization. A home network is a system that is very interconnected, and if all the pieces were simply connected to each other, you would soon find that your network would necessarily move at a snail’s pace. Each device on the network would evaluate every piece of information that passed through the network to determine whether or not that that information belonged to it, and this would slow things down a great deal. A router, placed between the disparate units, would go a long way towards directing the traffic flow and making sure that everything to where it was going with as few points between as possible.
A router will use a configuration table as its rubric for determining where the information will go. A configuration table will consist of things like the priority with which the message needs to be delivered, the rules for handling the traffic, and the information under which the information is sent through the addresses. In small and simple routers, you may find that a configuration table is as straightforward as a dozen lines, while in more complex ones, the configuration table can grow exponentially. When you are looking at the configuration table for your own router, you will find that it can be changed, but it does take some time and some work. Putting the right configuration tables on your router is something that is called flashing.
The router that you use will be the only device that will see every piece of data that goes through your network. One of the router’s most important jobs is going to be separating different networks and making sure that their traffic does not bog each other down, and you will also find that it does an important job when it comes to taking information in. Internet data is transferred in the form of packets of data. Thee packets of data are sent along a balanced road that is navigated on a millisecond by millisecond basis, and the routing occurs, to humans at least, practically instantaneously.
Take some time and think about your router and everything that it does for you. There are plenty of things that you need to do in order to make sure that you are going to be getting the right kind of options taken care of in your office, so don’t miss out on understanding your equipment.

Have you being dreaming of nothing having to get up early in the morning and fight your way into the subway to get to your workplace? If you are sick and tired of being squashed inside the subway on your way to work, you should start exploring other ways of earning income without having to deal with the daily traffic or the subway rush. If you do not want to fight the traffic or get squashed between bodies of people during rush hours in the subway, you better consider a home business internet income as alternative. The good thing about a home business internet income is that you can simply stay at home and work in your pajamas.
Working at home means you make your make your own rules. Since you have control over your working hours, you can start as early or as late as you want. Nobody will mark you late or duck your pay if you wake up late and start to your late. The only thing that you will need to deal with in when working at home and having a home business internet income is yourself. You should understand that when you do not have the right work discipline, you might not really earn enough income to pay for your bills and keep yourself comfortable. On the other hand, if you are one of those very hard working people who wouldn’t mind putting in extra time and efforts on what you do, you could really earn a good deal of money through an online business.
Setting up your own rules and work schedules
One of the things that you will need to consider when you have a home business internet income is to set up you work rules and schedules. You must always bear in mind that you will need to follow some set of rules to attain maximum productivity. Although nobody will really call you attention if you do not put in enough time on your work, you will soon find out that you will not have enough money to pay all your bills if you do not work diligently on your online business.
When setting up your work rules and schedules, you should make sure that you commit yourself to follow your own rules and work schedules. It will not really do you any good at all if you just draw up rules and work schedules and then simply put it in one side. If you make rules and schedules, make sure that you follow everything that you have written there. To help encourage yourself to follow your own rules and work schedules, you should set your target income for the month. Setting a target income for the month will help encourage you to put in more time and effort on your business especially when you see that you are still far from your target income. On the other hand, if you have a target income for the month, you can reward yourself with a day off if you are already able to meet your targets well ahead of time.
